It is illegal to lock out a tenant from their apartment or to threaten them with an illegal eviction. We applaud Attorney General Letitia James for taking action against this Ridgewood landlord who sent tenants threatening notices stating their door locks would be changed. 🧶 ⬇️

BlueSky, a Queens property manager, was illegally threatening to lock tenants out of their homes, many of which are rent stabilized.

I'm forcing BlueSky to end its unlawful behavior and forcing the company to pay $1,000 to every tenant it threatened.

Excited to announce that the Community Change Studies program at CCNY is offering a course open to housing and homelessness activists in NYC next semester. "Hot Topics in Housing Justice" will be taught in two sections: (1) resisting evictions (2) community control of housing.

Please contact us via the info ⬇️ if you want to organize your building!

We are not a non-profit or service organization. We do not have paid staff—we do this for ourselves to fight back against the gentrification pushing out our working class neighbors.
